I think I know what you're saying, but what you think I'm saying is really not what I'm thinking. And besides that, what do you say to someone who says what they think you want to hear?

fabulous work you've done here both in the post and in the comments...

when i read the post and wanted to comment, got surprised because what you did here in the comments was exactly an exemplification of what i wanted to write...

most of the time the vessel of form cannot contain the meaning... we see thoughts are overflowing...

what i do here is that i try to drink what is overlapping first... not letting it to spill...
:)
the space between the lettes of the word 'fall'... the way 'a' is situated in the center... this is that overflowing... i drink it first...

also the way your 'false note' is incommonsensically(loved the new word!) covering more space than the other notes...
i drink this first...

and that missing 'n' (broke) that i find at the end of the poem (down)... i drink this first...

this is exactly what new forms are doing... they attract more attention....
the meaning perhaps is somehow unchanged through time... we find new vessels to convey it...
vessels that attract more attention... thus communicating more...

when ears are addicted to beautiful songs so much so that no one hears them... what should i do to be heard? to wake them up?

perhaps a false note (like the harsh crowing of a crow) is a good way out...
:)
caaaaaaaaw

"what you think I'm saying is really not what I'm thinking."

this is a fact... true...
perhps that's why all the time i try not to be hooked to words (as dear as they might be to me)... but to what they convey...
the images help me to interpret... to unravel...
and again... truth is many-sided...

"And besides that, what do you say to someone who says what they think you want to hear?"

it depends...

if the vessel of that person's character is appropriate to his/her thoughts,
i say, i love you... and smile...

if he/she is a thief i say, i love you... and leave...

re:thieves... okay i'll write more in the comments of that post you asked...
which post was it?

from the mouth of them telling me what they think I mean or think they know what I want to hear. It is a source of humor for me as I drink their coffee without repentance.

Form and function are two ideas O have been playing with lately, using the words in their function to create a form undecided by me in the interpretation of the reader. It is honest because i have no idea about that which they are thinking.

sorry... a mistake by the crow:

'what i do here is that i try to drink what is *overlapping* first... not letting it to spill...'

...what is OVERFLOWING....

this happens when the crow types and at the same time answers her chick's neverending questions!

you drank too much!

and what are you going to do with the hangover?!!!
:D

thanks for watching the vessel moving...

walking man...

what you've done here with your words... really says a lot...
stunning... in the sense that i felt you are one of the Greek gods... powerful... detached...

"...a source of humor for me as I drink..."

OMG!
how sometimes i love to be so detached and powerful...
but never ever in my life i could laugh at such things...

just yesterday we went to cinema to watch a humorous movie... and i came out with a big lump in my throat...

so just when you read my words... keep in mind that i'm a dis-eased crow...

what the the writers/poets/artists do with their work is just throwing a pebble in the pond of existence to creat some ripples...to say

I AM HERE!

and what the readers/audience do is exactly the same thing... they don't want just to say WHY s/he threw the pebble... they want to throw their own pebble... to create their own ripples... to say:

I AM HERE!

why?
the cause/reason/ purpose?

---------parti...cipationParti...cipation----------

in the game... of finding "I"

and if you believe in GOD in any form or concept... this is exactly what HE did by creating the world...

to say,

I AM HERE!

The whole universe is a game of peekaboo!

opening up a world of feeling...

Jon-- at this juncture, I can't think of another medium that would allow this felt sense of word... so well done ( !)... nice work with the stretch that you are enabling in this blog and multi- media context.... Pater Marshall should have been around to see the horses transform the ride... he sure as hell would have enjoyed the ride

and, following the other comments from HB and Walking man.... sometimes the boldest thing I can do is give to someone that which she claims she wants... or to say to someone that which it seems he wants to hear...
and in my ecosystem, giving people what they say they want is often the prelude for amazing dissonance and amazing puzzling over paradox and contradiction.... I call it paradoxical juxtaposing ...
and it brings out the monkey in me.... sometimes

loved the full sensory array that this fall calls forth...seefeelheartastesmell
