let me count the ways {what would I go mad with?}

1) an underhanded serve?
2) a pickled-herring beard?
3) a forgotten embarrassment?
4) an exquisite harassment?
5) 700 piercing riches?
6) a kiss from Buster Keaton?
7) never-ending discourse?
8) a 12-pack of frozen humility?

a forgotten embarrassment...
I like this ....
the poet Rilke has a lovely notion about the joy of re-membering
a forgotten memory...
I wonder about the joy( ?) of a remembered embarrassment
I wonder if embarrassment is
age or stage
or ....

thanks for these lovely juxtaposes

Hey Fern,

Did you know that Buster Keaton was in a film that Beckett produced in New York?

It's the one I've posted above for EYE...

no,did not know of the BK/SB connect...it was an image from a dream.

I watched the 'film' you posted. I think it may find itself tripping along behind my eyes today, perhaps in a maddening way, perhaps amusing me nonetheless.

I added it into the title.

actually I was thinking about this, this morning. about the linkage here.

the scientific,index-loving part of me wants a way to link from Interiority back to the exact word/phrase from the text in Exteriority...

but the open window part of me likes Interiority to be what it is.. simply an interior reflection with no need for reason.

wonderering what others think about it.

think both parts should be done justice to...
:)

you know... this interiority/extriority (with exactly the same names) exists in Iranian architecture... before the modern(?) period, houses where built in a way they had an interiority and an exteriority... the things done in these parts and the people living or working in them were different... but they were related to each other in meaningful ways... and anyone in one part could contact another one in the other part... though all could also enjoy their privacy to a high degree... my mother in her childhood has lived in such a house... and the things she narrates amazes me...

so lets live in an old Iranian house... lets have our private life as it is... and also our communication with the outside world ... and also the healthy connections... that permeable membrane between the two should work soundly so that we might not get lost in our own house...
:D

you are a gem... in many different ways...
did you know that?

Hey Fern,

I'm sure that the Unnamable administrator doesn't mind if the titles of the posts aren't exact matches to the wording in the text... really you'd still have to read through it to find the link and to know the context of your reflections...

Just my thoughts...

HB,

That's interesting what you say about the houses...

So was it like having a garden, or a walled exterior space? I'm trying to conceptualize this...
